Daphné Borenstein was born in Paris in 1991.
Her parents are in the film industry, images are omnipresent during her education. She studies arts in high scool and she falls in love with Richard Avedon's work on the body at an exhibition in Paris. She starts taking pictures focusing her work on body.
She starts her studies at the Gobelins in 2010, she uses her grand father's equipment and discovers analogue photography. She works mostly on 6x6, but keeps taking digital pictures.
She graduated from the Gobelins in 2012, full of plans for the future.
She take pictures like she could right in a diary. Her research are a constant questionning on her image, her body, her as a woman. She mention her pain, the loss of her beloved.
