Biography

Dominic Turner is a fine art photographer and printer based in Dublin, Ireland. He is a founder and director of Exhibit A Studios, a digital imaging and fine art print studio in Dublin, Ireland.

The common thread running through all is work is his close attention to process, the craft of making a photographic image. Influenced by the 19th century pictorialists in both process and aesthetic, he seeks to revise this approach to have greater relevance in the 21st century. In his work is frequently uses old processes such as Gum Bichromate, Cyanotype and Platimun/Palladium as well as contemporary pigment printing.

His photographs have been exhibited both in Ireland and internationally and his work has featured in several magazines and books and belong to many collections both private and public. He has also collaborated on projects with composers and theatre practitioners in Ireland.
