At the end of 2014, William Ropp returned to Africa, a few years after Dreamt Memories from Africa.
But more east this time, "in the horn", in Ethiopia, land of legends, from Rimbaud's stays to the nickname "cradle of humanity".
Ropp immersed his photography at the source of these legends, and brought back from this journey timeless images, reinvented autochromes where hide children as well as cunning old men.
They all live in the unknown land of Ropp, Ethiopique, made of gray soil, pink skies, deep water and dense forest. Ethiopique is the map of this country now revealed, as much as the story of a journey dreamt by the unknown, the photographer, his models or even us watching all of them today.
